PROGRAM CHANGES

Due to the  overwhelming response to the Connector Card program some changes are being implemented to ensure that the assigned fiscal year funding for 2024 will provide up to $100 per month subsidy to over 3,400 seniors actively using the program. 

The maximum of the program is being changed from $200 to $100 per month for users with zero contribution. Seniors who pay a mothly contribution will remain at the $200 maximum. The intent of the program is for seniors to use the allotted $100 per month funds for their ground transportation needs in that same period and not to accumulate it for later use. 

In order for the new funds to be availabe on the first business day of the next month, the reload program will look at the remaining balance of each senior's account on the last business day of the month and add or "top-up" funds to bring the balance to $100. For example if on the last business day the senior's balance is $40.00 the program will add $60.00 to bring the total balance to $100.00 on the first business day.  

NOTE: All unposted Connector Card transactions or those performed after the last business day cutoff time will be posted against the updated balance on the first business day of the new moonth.  Connector Card does not have any control when completed credit card transactions are presented by vendors for posting.  

Seniors will be given up to 90-days to use their allotted program subsidy.  If after 90-days and there is no activity on the account the unused funds will be returned to the general program fund for use by the active users

New applications are not being accepted at this time. 

All Connector Card participants are required to submit Income Verification documentation. The income verification infomation can be submitted electronically, emailed to connectorcard@dcyellowcab.com and postal service mailed or delivered in person to Yellow Cab Co of DC, 1636 Bladensburg Road NE, Washington DC 20002.
